The cross-border project Promemoria Auschwitz has been supporting trips for young people to the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial site for several days since 2010. Below, a 17-year-old high school student from Kufstein describes his experience as a participant in this journey of not forgetting.

Promemoria Auschwitz - the Journey of Remembrance is a cross-border educational project that offers young people from North and South Tyrol, Trentino and other regions of Italy the opportunity to come to terms with the atrocities of National Socialism and put them into context with current events. At the heart of this excellently organized and well thought-out programme is a trip to Krakow.
