Renewed allegations of abuse against teacher

The first proceedings against the kindergarten teacher were recently discontinued. Now, however, new allegations from children have come to light.

A teacher at a kindergarten in Penzing was first investigated in 2022. He and another man were accused of abusing minors and deprivation of liberty. The incidents are said to have taken place as early as 2021, but only became public later.

Psychological expert opinion
The Vienna public prosecutor's office recently discontinued the proceedings on the basis of a psychological report. However, new allegations have now been made about the same teacher. A child had reported a sexual assault in a conversation with another child, explained Ingrid Pöschmann, spokesperson for the Vienna Child and Youth Welfare Department (MA 11) in "Wien heute".

The organization was immediately informed that the man was still not allowed to work with children - this has been the case since 2021. In addition, a situation report was sent to the public prosecutor's office.
