This is what the head of the Brau-Union thinks about the price of beer

Freshly tapped from a glass, bottle or can - every beer drinker has their favorite variant. We wanted to know from Brau-Union boss Hans Böhm whether the latest price increases are spoiling the taste. The Dutchman talks about pain thresholds, downsizing and what his style of living has to do with the direction of Austria's largest brewery company.

A map of Austria hangs on the wall in his office in Linz, on which some of Brau Union's locations are marked with colored pins. Hans Böhm has been to all twelve breweries in recent months. "There were long evenings at the beer tastings. But the next day I had a coffee with the beer drivers at 6 a.m.," says the Dutchman, who has been head of Austria's largest beer producer since September.
