LIVE: Bayern outnumbered, Baumgartner goal for RB

Even traffic chaos can't stop FC Bayern! Because the German record champions' bus had to deal with the traffic jam on the way to the stadium, the Munich team arrived late. In the end, however, Konrad Laimer and Co. celebrated a clear 3:0 victory in Gladbach. Christoph Baumgartner scored in Leipzig's 6:0 win over Augsburg.

Bayern thus still have maximum points after eight rounds in the Bundesliga. Five points behind, Leipzig are still in first place.

Coach Christian Ilzer's TSG Hoffenheim also remain on the road to victory. The 3:1 win against Heidenheim and the 3:0 win against St. Pauli saw Hoffenheim climb to seventh place within two rounds. Frankfurt won 2-0 against St. Pauli after four games without a win. Wolfsburg won 1-0 at HSV.

Stöger as penalty miss
The game in Mönchengladbach started a quarter of an hour late. The German record champions were held up by a traffic jam on the way to the stadium - and for a long time by a Gladbach wall of people on the pitch. After an early red card (19th) for the hosts, the match was even more monotonous than predicted. Jens Castrop had straddled Luis Diaz with an open sole at shin height. The logical consequence did not follow until the 64th minute.

  Joshua Kimmich fired Vincent Kompany's rotating squad in front at the second attempt. Half-time substitute Konrad Laimer played the penultimate pass. Raphael Guerreiro increased the lead to 2:0 (69') after a superb pass from Michael Olise. Kevin Stöger missed the final goal. The Austrian's spot-kick was saved by Neuer substitute Jonas Urbig, but only hit the bar (75'). Shortly afterwards, Bayern's Lennart Karl showed his talent with another remarkable goal (80'). Harry Kane failed to score for the first time in his 13th competitive match of the season.

Baumgartner continues his scoring streak
Baumgartner's goal in the 38th minute made it 4:0 for Leipzig in Augsburg. The Lower Austrian thus continued his scoring streak. He had already scored all of Leipzig's goals in the 2-1 win against HSV and the 1-1 draw against Dortmund. In Augsburg, simple one-two passes were enough for the Bulls to overcome the hosts, who were full of holes. Yan Diomonde (10th), who also set up two goals, Romulo (18th), Antonio Nusa (22nd), Assan Ouedraogo (56th) and Castello Lukeba (65th) scored. Baumgartner was replaced by his ÖFB team-mate Xaver Schlager after an hour. Nicolas Seiwald played through.

  Hoffenheim celebrated their fourth win of the season. There had only been seven in the entire previous season. Fisnik Asllani (18), Tim Lemperle (45.+2) and Andrej Kramaric (63) fired Hoffenheim, dressed all in pink, to an unchallenged home win on the "Together against Breast Cancer" campaign day. Stefan Schimmer equalized for Heidenheim (75').

In Hamburg, Salzburg loanee Adam Daghim's second goal of the season (15th) made the difference in Wolfsburg's favor. Ransford Königsdörffer missed a penalty for HSV with the score at 0:1. Local rivals St. Pauli were beaten in Frankfurt. Jonathan Burkardt scored a brace for Eintracht (35', 55').
