Svancer has to miss the slopestyle final!

Freeskier Matej Svancer has suffered a setback in the battle for overall World Cup victory in the "Park & Pipe"!

The 20-year-old from Salzburg was unable to compete in the slopestyle qualification at the World Cup final in Tignes on Tuesday due to injury. Svancer, who had gone to France in the lead, is suffering from a painful bruise on his left heel.

New Zealander Luca Harrington, his rival for overall victory, on the other hand, was the best qualifier and made it through to the final on Friday.

It remains to be seen whether Svancer, who is also ahead in the Big Air World Cup, will be able to contest the qualification in this discipline on Wednesday.
