Fire at Kaindl causes large-scale operation

A fire broke out at the Salzburg industrial company Kaindl on Monday evening. The extinguishing work is still ongoing. The fire department, rescue services and police are on site with a large contingent.

The fire broke out on Monday evening for as yet unexplained reasons on the extensive premises of the Kaindl company in Wals-Siezenheim. According to initial information from the fire department, two cyclones, which are large, cylindrical industrial containers of the filter system, are on fire. The Wals-Siezenheim volunteer fire department is deployed with three fire engines. 

The extinguishing work lasted into the night. According to the police, there were no injuries in the fire. The Kaindl company manufactures chipboard. It was only on Friday night that a major fire broke out at the fittings manufacturer Maco in the south of Salzburg.
