St. Pölten enters the “bazaar” in Turkey

Second division side St. Pölten made another move shortly before the transfer deadline, strengthening their squad with ex-Klagenfurt player Turgay Gemicibasi. While latecomers Stripfing brought in an Admira veteran for the relegation battle ...

At the end of the training camp in Turkey, St. Pölten not only suffered a 1:4 test against Luhansk (Ukr), but also received a souvenir from the player "bazaar". Shortly before the transfer deadline on Thursday, the "Wolves" took ex-Klagenfurt six-pointer Turgay Gemicibasi with them to the Traisen. The 28-year-old last played for second division side Adanaspor, but was only a substitute there.

While ex-Admiran Willi Vorsager wanted to take the next step in his career in the summer, but ended up at Start in Norway's 2nd division. After a mixed six months, the defender's adventure in the far north is already over: the 27-year-old moved to second division stragglers Stripfing on deadline day. With his experience, he should play an important role in the relegation battle.

"I'm delighted that it worked out and I'm also looking forward to the new task. I'm sure that together we'll achieve our goal for the season," said the defender, who made 88 Bundesliga and 51 second division appearances for the Panthers before his Norwegian interlude. In addition to Vorsager, the Marchfeld club also brought in talented Carl Kouadio (Sahoure/Ivory Coast).
