Sturm’s loudspeaker doesn’t have to get loud today

Michael Madl played 128 games for Sturm, 110 for Austria - tonight (20.30) the two clubs clash in the league opener. For the second time in a week. The Violets had their hands up in the cup quarter-final, the league leaders want to turn the tables. Madl knows what it takes this time. 

Michi Madl is a Styrian, a former Sturm professional, but also has ties to Austria. After retiring in 2021, he worked as a coach for the next generation of purple-white players. "But I dare to say that I am, of course, a black man. My uncle took me to the Gruabn at an early age," smiles the Murtal native.
