Austria's men's tennis team is in high spirits ahead of the first Davis Cup qualifying duel with Finland in Schwechat. Everyone is living the team spirit. "Normally you're on the road all year as an individual player, it's great to have a week like this as a team," says Lukas Neumayer happily. Thanks to dice and card games and a visit to the escape room, the banter runs on a continuous loop.

There is joking, laughter - and, yes, tennis too. The fact that Austria's tennis men are in such a good mood has less to do with the fact that the withdrawal of top player Emil Ruusuvuori and doubles specialist Harri Heliovaara has suddenly made advancing against Finland seem very feasible than with the fundamental joy of the Davis Cup.
