With a winemaker to the wine region in the mountains

Hidden in door number 12 is local winegrower Ernestine Berger. The Mölltal native invites you into her "vineyards" at her home. 

In the middle of the Mölltal - on the Grafenberg - Ernestine Berger tends and cares for her vines. The former nurse has been growing wine there for more than ten years - and with great success. "Many people didn't believe that I could manage to keep a vine alive here at all," says the Mölltal native, who has won several awards for her wines.

But the rocky, mineral-rich, sunny area makes it possible. "The Grafenberg has the ideal conditions." Ernestine is passionate about her viticulture. "I'm on my own all year round. I only get help during the harvest," explains the motivated Mölltal native, who also invites interested parties to her cozy wine tavern.

"Hikes are offered, my red, white and rose wines can be tasted, and there are always events between the vines," says Ernestine, who works completely without machines or artificial fertilizers and also wants to strengthen tourism with her offer.
