Flying sparks the cause of fire in herb hall

It is possible that sparks from the drying plant got into the herb hall and caused a major fire in Sarleinsbach. This was announced by the police on Wednesday. 

In close cooperation between the Rohrbach police and the fire investigators from the Upper Austrian State Office of Criminal Investigation, the scene of the fire in Sarleinsbach was inspected on Wednesday with the support of an expert from the Upper Austrian Fire Prevention Agency to determine the cause of the fire. During the search of the agricultural shed destroyed by the fire, it was possible to rule out the possibility of criminal culpability with a high degree of probability. 

Flying sparks from the drying system
With regard to the technical equipment, it was established that, due to the design, it was possible for sparks to enter the hall via the drying system. The extent of the damage is likely to be very high. Further investigations into the technical equipment of the drying system are planned as part of the clean-up work.
