Almost a year after its introduction, the household fee is still causing anger and frustration. And not only for people who do not pay the ORF fee, but also for many who are willing to pay their contribution. For an 81-year-old from Linz, this is now even causing health problems.

What used to be the GIS has been called the OBS since January 1, 2024 - it ensures that the ORF has enough money at its disposal. However, people's complaints have not stopped since then. Time and again, people have contacted the "Krone" who have suddenly been asked to pay twice.
