Celebrities serve charity punch at Rosenburg Castle

On two weekends in Advent, Rosenburg Castle opens its doors to one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Lower Austria. At the charity punch stand in the castle courtyard on Saturday, Erwin Pröll was also there - on a very special mission.

Visitors to the Waldviertel Christmas market at Rosenburg Castle were amazed when Erwin Pröll himself handed them cups of punch at the charity punch stand. Donations were collected for Sissi Pröll's "Help in your own country" campaign. And of course it was a matter of honor for the former governor to support his wife.

Help in his own country
The aid organization, of which the former "First Lady" of Austria's largest federal state is president, supports Austrians who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own. Whether Erwin Pröll took his wife's charity motto - "Those who give quickly, give twice" - to heart when serving punch is, of course, not known.

In the service of a good cause
In any case, celebrities will also be helping the good cause on the other opening days of the Christmas market at Rosenburg Castle. On Sunday, November 24, Martina and Kari Hohenlohe will be in charge of the charity punch stall. And next weekend, November 30 and December 1, Andi Marek and Soi Schüssler & Curdin Caviezel, actors from the summer night comedy at Rosenburg Castle, will be filling visitors' cups.
