Graz-Puntigam: E-scooter driver seriously injured

An accident on November 8 of this year is keeping the police on their toes due to differing statements from those involved. A 77-year-old car driver collided with a 15-year-old e-scooter rider in the Puntigam district of Graz. The police are now looking for witnesses and information.

A week and a half ago, an accident occurred in the Puntigam district of Graz and the investigation is still ongoing. A 77-year-old man from Graz was turning onto Puntigamer Straße in his car at around 4.30 pm when there was a crash. He collided with a 15-year-old e-scooter driver on a safety path. According to the initial diagnosis, the latter only suffered minor injuries and was taken to Graz Regional Hospital.

Police looking for clues
It was subsequently discovered that the 15-year-old may have suffered serious injuries to his head. Although the Syrian, who lives in Graz, is on the road to recovery, the investigation into the course of the accident is proving difficult due to differing statements from those involved. The Graz Traffic Inspectorate is therefore asking for help and information from possible witnesses on 059-133-65-4110.
