Breathing apparatus wearers save house from fire

Every second counts in an operation. This proved true once again in Haslach an der Mühl. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were able to save a house after a fire broke out in the boiler room. When the alarm was raised, the helpers had been prepared for the worst.

According to the incident report, the fire broke out in a heating system and there were still people in the building, as the stairwell was very smoky.

From meeting to operation
This incident report set the alarm bells ringing for the emergency services of the three fire departments. Only three minutes after the alarm was raised, the Rohrbach fire engine was able to move out to Haslach, as a meeting had just taken place and there were enough helpers in the depot. In the meantime, respiratory protection personnel from the Haslach fire brigade were already in action.

Great relief
The emergency crews were relieved when it became clear that no one was in the house and therefore in danger.
The firefighters from Haslach were able to quickly find the source of the fire and extinguish it. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the firefighters, the fire was largely confined to the outbreak area. No one was injured.
