Salzburg rollercoaster: red, goal conceded, penalty and goal

The final phase of Salzburg's Champions League match in Rotterdam was a rollercoaster. Within seven minutes there was a red card against Feyenoord Rotterdam, a goal conceded, a missed penalty for Salzburg and finally the deciding goal.

Salzburg were leading 2:0 against Feyenoord in the 79th minute and looked set to secure their first Champions League win of the season. But then a wild seven minutes began. It started with a foul by Chris-Kevin Nadje. After a VAR check, referee Donatas Rumsas decided to show the Feyenoord player a red card.

A harsh but justifiable decision. However, the supposed death blow for the home team soon turned into a new spark of hope. Just two minutes later, Anis Hadj Moussa made the Salzburg defense look old and scored the acclaimed goal. 

Happy ending for Salzburg
The fans gave their team vociferous support and Salzburg were in danger of losing their lead. But then the referee decided to award the Austrians a penalty in the 83rd minute after a VAR check. Double goalscorer Karim Konate stepped up to decide the game. But the Ivorian only hit the crossbar. The Dutch fans cheered again.

But again it was short-lived. Because seven minutes after the red card, Daouda Guindo scored a dream goal to make it 3:1 for Salzburg. The happy ending to a wild rollercoaster of a match.
