Counting error in Warriors victory, Klay Thompson shines

The NBA basketball league has corrected the result of the game between Portland and Golden State. The Warriors led by superstar Stephen Curry were awarded an extra point one day after their opening win against the Trail Blazers, with the game now scored 140:104.

The league thus reacted to a very rare counting error during the game, when a converted free throw by De'Anthony Melton was not counted.

Thompson shines on Dallas debut
Klay Thompson impressed on his debut for the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday with six converted three-pointers. The long-serving Golden State player scored a total of 22 points in the 120:109 home win against the San Antonio Spurs. Luka Doncic was the Mavericks' best scorer with 28 points, while the Slovenian also had ten rebounds and eight assists.

Defending champions Boston also won their second game of the season. The Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards 122:102 on the road. Jaylen Brown (27 points) and Jayson Tatum (25) were the most successful scorers for the reigning champions.
