Pöltl and Raptors win – now it can start

The Toronto Raptors have completed their preparations for the new season in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with a victory. The team led by Jakob Pöltl from Vienna won 116:112 at the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old center recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal. He was in action for 25:21 minutes.

Pöltl is ready
The regular season in the strongest basketball league in the world begins for the Raptors next Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Pöltl is entering his ninth year in the NBA and believes his team is "ready" for the opener.
