“But with a flag, please”: drunk driver goes crazy

A driver (33) was apparently very drunk when police officers pulled him over in Seewalchen am Attersee due to his conspicuous driving. When a police officer tried to take the keys from him, the driver pushed the officer away, insulted him and spat at him. Only a pepper spray calmed him down.

Due to his conspicuous driving style, a 33-year-old Austrian who lives in Switzerland was stopped and checked by officers from the Seewalchen highway police in Seewalchen am Attersee at around 0.55 am on Thursday. He immediately reacted extremely aggressively and uncooperatively. The only document he presented was a Swiss residence permit.

The man smelled strongly of alcohol and was therefore asked to take a breathalyzer test. He refused. When a police officer tried to take the vehicle keys, the driver pushed the officer away, insulted him and spat at him, whereupon he was arrested.

Taken to prison
The 33-year-old resisted violently, so that a pepper spray finally had to be used. After consultation with the public prosecutor's office in Wels, the man was finally taken to Wels prison.
