ÖVP mandatary calls on Kickl to get going

The current days are anything but usual, said Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen in his statement when he explained to the people how things will continue after the talks with the party leaders. An Instagram post by an ÖVP member of the National Council is also anything but usual.

"Mr. Kickl, get going!" the long-time constitutional spokesperson demanded on his Instagram profile, in front of a picture of the seat of government on Ballhausplatz in the city centre. Follow-up: "If you want to govern, you have to take responsibility." Does the long-serving parliamentarian even mean the corridors of the Federal Chancellery? When asked by "Krone", Gerstl answered in the negative.

"I don't accept that interpretation. I am one of Kickl's biggest opponents, but it would have been his job to seek talks!" The post has since been deleted. In any case, Gerstl receives the "Punch of the week" from us!
