Bomb threat again: train station closed as a precaution

An anonymous bomb threat was received for the train station in Feldkirch on Tuesday evening - the area was immediately evacuated in Vorarlberg. And the police in Carinthia were informed: What if the unknown person had misspelt and meant Feldkirchen in Carinthia?

This series of anonymous bomb threats has kept the emergency services on their toes for days. Stations throughout Austria have had to be evacuated. Stations in Linz, Graz, Salzburg, St. Pölten, Klagenfurt and Bregenz have already been affected.

At around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, a threat was received about an allegedly planted bomb at the train station in Feldkirch in Vorarlberg. 

The police in Carinthia were also informed because caution is required and it cannot be assumed that an anonymous perpetrator would not make a mistake. They also evacuated Feldkirchen station as a precaution.

"Fortunately, nothing suspicious was discovered," explains Waltraud Dullnigg, spokesperson for the Carinthian regional police directorate.
