Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has announced the presentation of his "victory plan" for October 12. It contains clear and concrete steps for a just end to the war. However, there are considerable doubts about this.

He wants to present the plan at the next meeting of the so-called Ramstein Contact Group, Selensky wrote on Telegram on Saturday. The head of state had previously spoken of such a plan, but did not publish any details.

In a week's time, a Ukraine summit will take place at the US airbase in Ramstein, Germany, hosted by US President Joe Biden.

At the meeting of the US-led contact group to support Ukraine, which is under attack from Russia, Biden wants to coordinate the efforts of the more than 50 countries supporting Kiev in its defensive struggle, the White House has announced.

Doubts about "victory plan"
During a visit to the USA last month, Selensky presented his plan to President Biden as well as the two presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. It contained some productive proposals, said a spokesperson for the US State Department.

However, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing US representatives, that it merely contained the familiar Ukrainian demands for more weapons and permission to use longer-range missiles. It does not contain a comprehensive strategy.
