Man (21) brutally beats up girlfriend in Vienna

A 21-year-old man is said to have beaten up his own partner in Vienna's Donaustadt district on Saturday evening. The two had previously got into an argument. The young man then allegedly punched the woman in the face with his fists and kicked her in the stomach.

The incident took place in a park. Fortunately, two men were there at the time and noticed the incident. The two witnesses immediately rushed to help - a scuffle ensued. In the meantime, the emergency services had already been alerted.

The woman suffered injuries during the attack and was taken to hospital after receiving emergency medical treatment. Her boyfriend was provisionally arrested - he was banned from entering and approaching the house and was provisionally banned from carrying weapons.
