Lugner family thanks for sympathy

The family of the late master builder Richard Lugner has thanked everyone for their sympathy following his death.

 "We are deeply moved by how many people came to Lugner City to express their sympathy. Countless messages of condolence were left, candles were lit and loving messages were written in the book of condolence," it said in a statement on Monday.

"Touching gestures of affection"
The great esteem in which Lugner was held was a source of comfort to the bereaved. The memorial service was also a moving moment. Companions, customers, friends and acquaintances came together to honor Lugner. "We can hardly put into words how touched we are by all these gestures of affection," it said.

"Deeply touched"
Lugner's grave is also decorated with an "impressive number of wreaths". Out of respect and gratitude, the family would like to leave the grave decorations at his final resting place. "We are overwhelmed and deeply touched," said the family and the entire Lugner City team.

Lugner died in his villa on August 12 at the age of 91 shortly after a serious heart operation. He had previously struggled with health problems on several occasions. He had married for the sixth time on June 1.
