Austria start European Championship qualifiers at home against Turkey

 

Austria's men's national handball team will start their qualifying campaign for the European Championship finals in Scandinavia at the beginning of 2026 with a home game!

Ales Pajovic's team will begin the battle for their fourth consecutive European Championship ticket on November 7 in Bregenz against underdog Turkey. Three days later, they will face Switzerland in Schaffhausen.

In March, the duels with Olympic silver medallists Germany are on the program. The DHB team will play at the Steffl Arena in Vienna on March 13, 2025, while Germany will host on March 15; the venue has not yet been determined.

Qualifying group also concludes against Turkey
The Austrians will conclude qualifying Group 7 on May 7 with an away match in Turkey and on May 11 with a home match against Switzerland in Graz. The two top teams and the four best third-placed teams from the eight groups will qualify for the European Championship from January 15 to February 1 in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
