Christian Horner realizes: “This changes everything!”

For the first time since Miami 2022, a team other than Red Bull Racing is leading the Formula 1 constructors' championship with McLaren. This is the first time the roles have changed for the Bulls. Team Principal Christian Horner recognizes: "This changes everything!"

"The championship has taken on a completely different dynamic. We are no longer the hunted leader, we are twenty points behind and have taken on the role of the hunter," explained the Englishman after the street GP in Baku.

However, Red Bull does not want to admit defeat just yet. "We are not giving up. There are still plenty of points to be scored from seven Grands Prix and three sprints. And we will be visiting very different race tracks. This is far from over," says Horner.

The "Papayas" have a 20-point lead over the Bulls. With seven races still to go, anything is still possible. However, this also applies to Lando Norris, whose gap to Max Verstappen in the drivers' standings has now shrunk to 59 points.
