Eleven vacationers fled from a burning vacation home

The fire department was called out on Sunday night in Stummerberg in the Tyrolean district of Schwaz! When the smoke alarm went off, the eleven Germans fled the house. Around 70 firefighters were finally able to extinguish the fire.

At around 2.45 a.m. on Sunday night, the sirens went off in Stummerberg! The smoke alarm went off in a vacation home. A group of eleven holidaymakers from Germany were staying there at the time. The people immediately fled from the smoking building.

Smoke was spreading in the false ceiling to the second floor. The fire department was quickly able to bring the smouldering fire under control. The first floor, the first floor and the attic were badly damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Cause of fire still unclear
The holidaymakers were accommodated in another vacation apartment. As many as 70 firefighters from the Stumm/Stummerberg, Kaltenbach, Ried and Aschau volunteer fire departments were deployed, as well as the rescue service, a Tiwag employee and the police. The cause of the fire is still unclear and is still under investigation.
