Mette-Marit’s son Marius behind bars again!

Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is once again making headlines. He has been behind bars again since Friday evening after allegedly molesting his victim again.

According to police reports, the 27-year-old son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit was arrested again on Friday. Several Norwegian media reported that Marius Borg Hoiby had been arrested for violating a no-contact order.

The Norwegian police confirmed the arrest of Mette-Marit's son from a relationship before her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon on Saturday, without giving further details.

Call with suppressed number?
His lawyer Øyvind Bratlien told the newspaper "VG": "My client was arrested because he allegedly contacted the woman in question by telephone on September 7 using a suppressed telephone number. My client denies this and has pleaded not guilty. In my 17 years as a criminal defense lawyer, I have never experienced an arrest on such a flimsy legal basis."

The public prosecutor's office contradicts this. In a statement, it said: "The police received information that Høiby had contacted a woman who is a victim in the case on several occasions. On this basis, the police filed charges of reckless behavior. It was decided that he should be arrested due to the risk of repetition."

Assault and damage to property
Hoiby had previously been arrested in Oslo on August 4 and released from police custody the following day. According to the police, he was accused of assault and damage to property. The victim was a woman who was in a relationship with Hoiby. According to the authorities, they had "no information that the victim had suffered serious injuries".
