Which festivals will still take place and which will not

Vienna is threatened by heavy rain, Vienna and storms. Numerous events and festivities at the weekend have therefore been canceled. But not all of them. We have put together a selection. 

Let's start with the events that are taking place - heavy rain or not:

• Open House Vienna: the guided tours on Saturday and Sunday through the architectural jewels and ultra-modern new buildings are free and no registration is required. Info: openhouse-wien.at/

• Young plant market in the Augarten: Although outdoors, the City Farm is still open on Friday (2 to 6 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Visitors can buy organic vegetables to grow themselves, seeds, fertilizer and sheep's wool pellets.

• BrauWerk birthday party: Ottakringer Kreativbrauerei is celebrating its tenth anniversary at BrauWerk on Saturday. The party starts at 11 am.

• 7stern flea market: Summer is over, so it's high time to stock up on fall fashion. Cafe 7stern will be transformed into a flea market with over 400 selected vintage items on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm.

• The Vienna Fashion Week in front of the MuseumsQuartier also offersfashion inspiration until Saturday.

Canceled
Unfortunately, numerous events have also fallen victim to the weather: the 48er-Mistfest in Hernals, Stadlauer and Lichtentaler Kirtag, medieval festival at Neugebäude Castle, Star Wars in the Bohemian Prater, coffee house flea market in Ottakring and Meidlinger Oktoberfest.
