ÖBB: Big numbers, big challenges

The low-cost climate ticket and an ever-improving timetable make rail travel attractive. More passengers, less freight transport, new and well-known construction projects ensure that ÖBB in Tyrol is not running out of work any time soon. However, a VCÖ survey identified the strengths and weaknesses of Tyrolean railroad stations.

All aboard, please! 14 million passengers answered ÖBB's call in Tyrol alone in 2023 - 2.4 million more than in the previous year. While the number of trains and the number of kilometers they covered in Tyrol did not change from 2022 to 2023, there was a significant increase in passenger numbers.
