Motorcycle ride ends in hospital for teenager

A 16-year-old boy left the road on his motorcycle in Lochau on Thursday evening and crashed - he had a 16-year-old friend on the passenger seat.  

The teenager was riding his motorcycle on Hörbranzer Straße from Hörbranz towards Lochau at around 11.25 pm on Thursday. A friend of the boy, also 16 years old, was sitting on the pillion. In a long bend, the teenager suddenly lost control of the bike, went over the left edge of the road and collided with the edge of the sidewalk. 

A fall could no longer be avoided and the rider and passenger were seriously injured in the crash. Both were taken by ambulance to Bregenz and Feldkirch hospitals for medical treatment.
