Kidman: “Babygirl” is my “most revealing movie”

Nicole Kidman spoke about how she wasn't sure whether she had the "courage" to watch her new film "Babygirl" at the Venice Film Festival. The reason: the erotic thriller is the "most revealing" of her career.

Kidman plays a high-ranking business executive in her new film. In an interview with "Vanity Fair" magazine, however, the Australian revealed that she was hesitant to watch the film at the Venice Film Festival.

"Not sure I have that much courage"
"Something inside me says: 'Okay, this was made for the big screen and to be watched with people.' I'm not sure I have that much courage," Kidman explained.

And also revealed the reason for her hesitation. "I've made some films that are quite revealing, but not like this one."

Nervous about sex scenes
Kidman is particularly nervous about the sex scenes in the upcoming movie and explained: "It's like I'm thinking to myself: 'Oh my gosh, I'm doing this and now it's actually going to be seen by the whole world.' It's a very weird feeling."

In "Babygirl", Dutch director Halina Reijn tells the story of a businesswoman who begins an affair with a young intern. The protagonist is played by Hollywood star Nicole Kidman. Harris Dickinson ("Triangle of Sadness") plays the intern, Antonio Banderas the betrayed husband.
