A stroke of luck: only bodywork damage in accident

An accident in Frauenkirchen on Sunday morning was just lucky. A man had overlooked an approaching train. 

The Romanian wanted to cross the railroad tracks in Neustiftgasse and did not notice that a train was approaching.

When he saw the train, it was almost too late. However, the locomotive only slightly hit the carriage.

After a brief moment of shock, the driver was able to get out unharmed. There were no injuries on the train either, but there was a lot of damage to the car. 

The members of the Frauenkirchen volunteer fire department were quickly on the scene to secure the car and clean the road. The police were also on the scene.
