The voting phase of the "Herzensmensch" campaign is in full swing: The "Krone" presents the nominated "Herzensvereine". Today: The "Freundschaftsbänder" association!

"Our aim is to get people out of their living rooms and make friends - after all, making contacts is the best thing about sport," says manager Manuel Wunder, describing the motivation behind the "Freundschaftsbänder" association, which he co-founded in 2016.

The aim is to inspire children, young people and adults with disabilities to take part in sporting activities. Despite the summer break, there are various events - swimming, diving and paddling are on the program. From September, things really get going again - the Monday sports group, soccer group and hiking group play sport every week. The club also supports two soccer teams (SK Austria Klagenfurt Champions).

"Rewarded by emotions"
Wunder emphasizes: "We are not funded by the state, we don't want to take anything away from the others, so we are financed purely by donations - we are rewarded by the images and emotions that are created!"
