“Shot from BMW”: Vienna police looking for shooter

A passer-by in the Kaisermühlendamm area of Vienna must have been in mortal fear late on Sunday evening. The man is said to have been waiting for the bus when a black BMW stopped next to him and slowly opened the passenger window. A shot is then said to have been fired - which fortunately missed ...

"The passenger is said to have fired an apparent handgun in the direction of the victim," police spokesman Mattias Schuster told the "Krone" on Monday. However, according to Schuster, no shell casings or bullet holes could be seen on the wall of the bus stop. The case is puzzling - because according to the police, the victim himself did not notice any muzzle flash after the shot.

Immediate search was unsuccessful
A report was immediately filed against the unknown perpetrators on suspicion of making a dangerous threat, according to the police. The man was nevertheless lucky, he only escaped with a shock.

The driver of a black BMW probably also suffered a huge shock when he was stopped by armed police officers on Lassallestrasse and ordered out of the car (see photo above). "However, no connection to the incident could be established", Schuster assures the "Krone". We are still looking for the suspects and a black BMW.
