Baerbock impressed with unexpected skills

Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) visited the Lentes prosthesis workshop in Leverkusen. Afterwards, she surprised everyone with her unexpected skills in the air - the politician jumped on a trampoline (see video above).

And she was anything but bad - the minister performed forward and backward somersaults on socks. Long jump world record holder Markus Rehm (35) led the way, Baerbock (43) followed suit. What many people don't know: in 1999, the Foreign Minister won bronze at the German Championships in the double mini tramp discipline. She still has a mini-trampoline in her office today, which she uses occasionally.

Regular jogging
Baerbock is still sporty in general. As she regularly goes jogging, she had a pair of leggings with her during her professional stay in Leverkusen (North Rhine-Westphalia). As reported by "Bild", the 43-year-old was given a T-shirt during her stay and received some advice from professional athlete Rehm.

Several company visits
Baerbock visited the company's prosthesis workshop and training hall. Among other things, she exchanged ideas with orthopaedic technicians, some of whom are also active in the Paralympics. The Minister then visited the German Armed Forces' air force and the ESA's European Astronaut Center. She is expected back in Berlin on Wednesday evening.
