A car caught fire in the parking lot of a supermarket in Hof near Salzburg on Saturday. The fire department was able to extinguish the flames quickly. Fortunately, no one was injured.

An old Ford caught fire in a parking lot in Hof on Saturday. According to police reports, the driver noticed the smoke in the engine compartment and immediately left the vehicle.

Initial attempts to extinguish the fire by supermarket employees were unsuccessful. The fire department, which was quickly called, was finally able to extinguish the car fire.

According to the police, independent repair work was probably the reason for the sparks flying from the battery block.
