Royal refusal! Real does not need Hummels

According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid have decided against signing central defender Mats Hummels. According to the reports, the "royals" do not want to strengthen their defense in this transfer period. Instead, they are relying on the return of ÖFB captain David Alaba. 

As reported by "As", those responsible in Madrid have clearly decided against signing Hummels on a free transfer. Rumors have recently been circulating that the German is considered a serious option for the Real defensive line, which could put new pressure on Alaba, who has been injured for several months.

However, the Champions League winners do not seem to be thinking about alternatives in defense at all. Instead, they have confidence in their current personnel and are looking forward to the expected return of ÖFB captain Alaba after his cruciate ligament rupture. According to forecasts, however, this is likely to take until November.

Soon to be Posch's teammate?
For Hummels, whose contract with Borussia Dortmund expires at the end of the season, this means one less interesting option. His attention is therefore set to shift towards Serie A. There, the 35-year-old is said to be very popular with Champions League participants Bologna.

Last season's fifth-placed team has apparently already made the 2014 world champion an offer that is ready to be signed. This would make Hummels a team-mate of ÖFB kicker Stefan Posch. The northern Italians are also currently courting another team player, Alexander Prass from Sturm Graz.
