Bus hits pedestrian on crosswalk

The bus's emergency braking could not prevent the accident: A pedestrian (47) was hit by public transport on a crosswalk in Attersee am Attersee on Friday evening and was taken to the Salzkammergutklinikum in Vöcklabruck.

A 47-year-old woman from Seewalchen wanted to cross a crosswalk abruptly near the Union-Yacht-Club Attersee at around 7 pm on Friday. At the same time, a bus was traveling at around 10 km/h. The bus driver immediately slammed on the brakes but was unable to prevent a collision.

Alcohol test negative
The pedestrian was hit by the bus and fortunately "only" suffered minor injuries to her left shoulder and left ankle. The 47-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Salzkammergutklinikum Vöcklabruck.

Alcohol can be ruled out as the cause of the accident: The bus driver was sober.
