Robbery in Götzis

18-year-old man dragged into car and robbed

A brutal robbery took place in Götzis on Wednesday night. An 18-year-old boy was dragged into a car by three unknown men, threatened with a knife, beaten and robbed.

The 18-year-old had gone to Götzis train station at around midnight because he wanted to meet up with friends. Suddenly a small white car drove up to him. An unknown man got out and started talking to the teenager, while two other men were still in the car.

Then things got really wild: As if out of nowhere, the boy was dragged into the car by the unknown man. The driver immediately started the car and drove through Götzis for several minutes. Meanwhile, the youth was threatened with a knife by the other two men and demanded to hand over his valuables. After the boy refused to hand them over and put up a fight, the brutals beat him up.

The perpetrators stole the 18-year-old's cell phone and cash, then released him and sped off in the small car. The victim suffered injuries of indeterminate severity during the brutal robbery.
