Five injured in gas leak in company building

Major operation for the fire department and Red Cross: Gas leaked from a company in Laakirchen, injuring five people who had to be taken to nearby hospitals. Three fire departments ventilated the building.

On Tuesday morning, a gas leak occurred in a production hall at Miba. Five of the company's employees suffered minor injuries as a result. After initial treatment by the emergency doctor, the ambulance transported four of them to Vöcklabruck Hospital and one to Gmunden Hospital. 

Three fire departments were called out to deal with the pollutant leak. They immediately began to ventilate the hall, including with the help of a large-capacity fan.
