Michael J. Fox celebrates his performance with Coldplay

"The man with the Chuck Berry riff and who punched Biff in the face." With these words, Chris Martin announced an unexpected surprise guest from Hollywood at the Glastonbury Music Festival: Michael J. Fox. 

The actor, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, came on stage in a wheelchair and supported "Coldplay" on two songs - "Humankind" and "Fix You" - on his guitar.

Afterwards, frontman Martin revealed the reason for the unusual collaboration: "The main reason we formed the band is because we were looking 'Back to the Future'. So thank you Michael, you are forever our hero!"

The 63-year-old returned the thanks on Instagram, posting a thank you message to the band and fans alongside a few 'behind the scenes' photos of the event: "In case you were wondering... it was fucking amazing Glastonbury! All my love and thanks to the Coldplay team for looking after us so well!"

Already on stage with Coldplay once before
Fox had performed on stage with Coldplay once before - in 2016 on their American tour at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. Back then, they had performed "Johnny B. Goode" together, the Chuck Berry hit that Fox also played in his cult role as Marty McFly in the movie.
