Drunk driver crashed into traffic sign

A 30-year-old man from Pongau caused extensive damage to property at a traffic circle in Filzmoos on Sunday. He was observed, fled and was stopped shortly afterwards. The driver had three per mille alcohol in his blood. 

The 30-year-old lost control of his car at the traffic circle in Filzmoos on Sunday morning and crashed into a traffic sign. He caused enormous damage. When a witness approached him, the driver drove off.

The police were able to stop him shortly afterwards in the center of Filzmoos. The man must have had plenty of gas: A breathalyzer test showed a level of three per mille. He confessed to causing the accident. His driver's license was confiscated.
