Charles congratulates William with a lovely childhood photo

Happy birthday, Prince William! The heir to the British throne celebrates his 42nd birthday today, Friday. Dad Charles congratulated him with a particularly sweet snapshot.

The Royal Family and, of course, King Charles in particular, sent particularly heartfelt birthday greetings to Prince William on Friday: a throwback photo was published on the British royal family's Twitter page showing Charles with William as a baby on his lap.

"Wishing the Prince of Wales a very happy birthday," was the caption under the snapshot, which was taken from the royal photo album. 

It is not known how William will celebrate his 42nd birthday. But presumably with his family: after all, they have been his top priority since Princess Kate's cancer. 

Trip to the European Championships
On Thursday, however, William made a detour to Germany. The reason for this was England's European Championship match against Denmark, which is why the heir to the British throne was in good company at the stadium in Frankfurt.

Because not only William, but also Denmark's King Frederik was rooting for his team. And it obviously brought luck to both teams, as the game ended 1:1.
