Doskozil does not work on migration paper

While the SPÖ is trying to "refresh" its asylum paper, the governor of Burgenland, Hans Peter Doskozil, says that this would happen without him. Yet the so-called "Kaiser-Doskozil" paper, which he drafted with his Carinthian counterpart Peter Kaiser, is actually the current party line ...

"I will not participate in the result, I say that quite openly," the politician told "profil". He did not want to open up any lines of conflict and thus jeopardize the peace within the party until the National Council elections.

Doskozil does not want to devote himself to further development. The state governor does not believe that "refreshing" will take place in his interests: "because we will neither be able to discuss an upper limit nor increased deportations or asylum procedure centers outside Europe". By not bringing this into the federal party, he is doing his bit to bring calm.

Doskozil would only enter into a coalition with the ÖVP at federal level if the SPÖ makes gains in the national elections. If it loses, he recommends going into opposition.
