Stalking in front of the children’s room: 18-year-old convicted

After an argument and breaking off contact, a young Tyrolean is said to have repeatedly stalked a good friend and watched her in her nursery. He also frightened her with a threatening video. Now the 18-year-old was on trial.

"As a very good friend, she was once one of the most important people in my life," emphasized the accused in front of the Innsbruck Regional Court. After an argument, however, the underage girl had completely broken off contact with the 18-year-old.

The young Tyrolean then allegedly repeatedly ambushed the schoolgirl, secretly took photos of her and watched her almost daily through the window of her children's room. "He also sent her a threatening video in which he fired several shots with a fake weapon," the indictment said.

"I am very sorry for what I did and I would like to sincerely apologize for it," said the 18-year-old. However, it was not clear to him whether the girl had really broken off contact with him completely. "She kept blocking and unblocking me on WhatsApp."

Verdict not yet final
The defendant, who also wants to undergo therapy, was given a conditional fine of 1440 euros. Not yet legally binding.
