Only the deputy mayor did not receive a new lantern

The old street lighting in Hörsching is also gradually being replaced by new, energy-saving LED lamps. Recently, it was also the turn of the alleyway of SP deputy mayor Markus Kirchmair. Because the lamppost in front of his house, of all places, was not replaced, the rumor mill is churning.

The fact that the old street lamp still stands in front of the house of SP deputy mayor Markus Kirchmair in Hörsching is the subject of much speculation. There have been rumours about Kirchmair's penchant for nostalgia or even a nasty prank by ÖVP mayor Klaus Wahlmühler.

Replacement planned for this year
Kirchmair has now shed some light on the matter: "There's nothing behind it. The lantern in front of our house was simply the last light point that was left. The plan is to replace the lantern this year. But it's true that it looks a bit strange."

Regarding his relationship with Mayor Wahlmüller from the People's Party, he says: "We talk and can talk to each other, but recently the expansion of the town square has caused the odd debate."
