Cox: Deceased Matthew Perry “visits me often”

A good six months after the death of "Friends" star Matthew Perry, US actress Courteney Cox said that she was still in contact with the deceased. The late actor would "often visit" the 59-year-old.

"He visits me often, if we believe in it," Courteney Cox said on the US program CBS Sunday Morning. "I talk to my mom, my dad, to Matthew."

She had the feeling that deceased people were guiding their loved ones: "I feel that Matthew's spirit is definitely nearby."

Perry died from the effects of an anesthetic
Perry was found dead in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home last fall at the age of 54.

According to the Los Angeles coroner's office, he died from the effects of an anesthetic.

Cox and Perry's other "Friends" colleagues Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer spoke of an "incredible loss" in a statement a few days after his death.
