Police dog found robber duo with drugs in their luggage

It only took a short time for two young Austrians to escape when they attacked a 19-year-old in Innsbruck on Monday night and robbed him of his wallet. The police also found illicit substances on one of the two suspects. 

The robbery happened shortly after midnight on Monday night at Eduard-Wallnöfer-Platz in Innsbruck. According to the police, two initially unknown perpetrators stole the purse from the jacket of a 19-year-old Austrian and fled with it.

The thief chased after the robbers and tried to get his wallet back. But according to the police, the two perpetrators attacked the 19-year-old and were able to flee with the loot. 

Drugs found, no stolen goods
The police launched a manhunt. With the help of a sniffer dog, the suspects were arrested less than half an hour later. They are also two 19-year-old local men. The investigators found 43 grams of herbal cannabis on one of the two young men. However, the purse that was allegedly stolen never turned up.
