Foden wins top Premier League award

Manchester City attacking star Phil Foden has been voted Premier League Player of the Season. This was announced by the league on Saturday, one day before the championship final. "Winning this award makes me extremely proud," said Foden. 

The 23-year-old Englishman played his best season to date this year, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists in 34 league games. Only Erling Haaland has scored more often (27 goals).

25 goals and eleven assists
In all competitions combined, Foden's season record is 25 goals and eleven assists. With one round to go, Manchester City are top of the table and on the verge of winning their fourth Premier League title in a row.
